Beginning January 1, 2027, MAC Jets at Portland International Jetport (PWM) will transition to Galaxy FBO, marking the next chapter for our FBO operation in Portland, Maine. You will notice a new sign on the building, our carpet mats, name tags… but this transition is about much more than a logo.
For decades, MAC Air Group has been part of Maine’s aviation community, building its reputation around personal relationships, experienced people, and a commitment to taking care of every aircraft, passenger, and crew that arrives at our door. Those values aren’t changing. The same team you know at PWM will continue to welcome you, fuel your aircraft, assist your crew, and help make Portland feel like home.
What is changing is the network and resources behind them.
MAC Jets + Galaxy FBO
Following MAC Air Group’s acquisition by Black Forest Ventures, bringing MAC Jets into the Galaxy FBO network was a natural next step.
Today, Galaxy serves business and general aviation customers across a growing network of FBO locations, with operations at Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport (CXO), Addison Airport (ADS), and Big Spring McMahon-Wrinkle Airport (BPG).
On January 1, 2027 Portland (PWM) will join that network.
The transition brings together MAC Jets’ longstanding knowledge of the Portland market and deep roots in Maine aviation with Galaxy FBO’s broader resources, operating experience, and commitment to exceptional customer service.“This transition isn’t about changing what has made MAC Jets successful. It’s about building on it.”
Galaxy FBO and Black Forest Ventures intend to continue investing in the Portland operation, its people, facilities, capabilities, and customer experience while respecting the heritage that the Caruso family and generations of MAC Air employees have built in Maine.
